My Background

I grew up with a multicultural and international upbringing. I lived, studied, and worked in Shanghai, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia. I have had personal and professional experiences of facing challenges of adapting in various cultures and environments. I am bilingual in English and Chinese.

I have an academic background in Child Development, Bilingual & Bicultural Education, Mental Health Counseling, and I transitioned from working as a teacher to a therapist. Currently, I have worked as a therapist for five years, I am passionate in guiding and helping clients achieve what they want for themselves.

I have a special interest in working with young adults. I strive to create and provide a space that is compassionate, supportive and collaborative. I value working with clients from a diverse background and cultural identities. I advocate for young adults, especially those who are marginalized.

My Approach

My approach is person centered. I help facilitate self exploration and discovery in clients, increase self awareness, and guide clients towards healing and growth. I specialize in helping young adults breaking free from belief systems and unhealthy behavior patterns that do not align with their values. I strive to help promote positive behavioral changes that will enhance clients' relationships with others as well as with themselves.

I tailor my approach to each individual's needs, and some of the common approaches I use include:

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT)
