What does therapy look like?Therapy is a highly individualized process based on your needs and concerns. In general, we will discuss current events in your life, relevant past histories, make connections on how past influence your current, reflect on insights you gained, and apply what you have learned in therapy in your daily life. What are out-of-network benefits? If you have a health insurance with out-of-network benefits, you are eligible to use those. You are responsible to make payments for the sessions at the time of the service. I will provide you a superbill after your session for you to submit to your insurance company. Your insurance company will reimburse you after you meet your deductible. You are encouraged to get in touch with your insurance company to be more clear on your benefits, such as what your deductible is and how much they will cover for each session.
-
PaymentPayments are made before sessions. I accept debit cards, credit cards, FSA and HSA. I provide a superbill upon request for you to submit to your insurance company for out of network benefits.
-
Do you accept insurance? No. I would be an out-of-network provider. However, I can provide a superbill receipt which you can submit to your health insurance to count towards your deductible. Reasons I don't accept insurance are below: - You don't have a mental health diagnosis on your health record. - You are in control of your mental health care and have the freedom to choose your length of treatment - We can have tailored individualized treatment goals that might not be billable for insurance company, such as navigating life transitions and enhancing communication skills for relationships.
-
What do I need to know before using insurance to cover out-of-network fees?I am required to give you a mental health disorder diagnosis that would go into your medical health record. The diagnosis might impact you negatively in the future, such as applying for jobs (government positions, FBI, law enforcements, etc.), go through child custody battles.

Can I have therapy with you if I am not in Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Florida?Unfortunately no. In order to adhere to licensure law, I can only see clients who are physically located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Florida.
-
Do you provide in person therapy?Unfortunately, not currently. My therapy services are fully online, and I use HIPPA compliant secure video conferencing (Zoom and Doxy.me) to make sure that our therapy is confidential and convenient.
